We just booked the house we'll be staying at in Manuel Antonio. It is an 8 bedroom, 9 bathroom house with a pool. It's called Villa Manakin. And the best part is that it will only cost $175/person for the 3 nights. Yeah! This money will be due upon arrival. We will be staying here March 2-5.
The first leg of the trip we are staying at The Lost Iguana Resort & Spa. If you purchased a Groupon, then you've already paid. We'll be staying here February 28-March 2.

Hi, remember me? I'm the gal with waaay too much time on her hands. Since I can only stalk people on Facebook and kick my computer's ass at Hearts for so long, I figured I'd put some of that free time to good use & create a blog that chronicles information on our upcoming trip to Costa Rica. Aka...Kelly's getting OLD so we better leave the country so she can celebrate in style! (And yes, I'm aware that the day I turn 40 you will all have a heyday giving me hell...and I fully deserve it).
I purchased my plane ticket today, so I'm officially in. I'm super-excited about the 4 hour layover in Denver followed by an overnight flight to Costa Rica. Yes, you may detect a hint of sarcasm there...or maybe I'm just a weirdo that really enjoys hanging out in airports and sleeping on planes. But landing in Costa Rica at 6am with the entire day in front of me will be worth it! So get off your booty & book that flight! If you decide to take another flight, my only advice is make sure you arrive with several hours of daylight left. We will be hiring drivers to get us to the Arenal/La Fortuna area (a 2-3 hour drive), so it's not vitally important...but it's still a good idea. Who wants to spend the first few hours of their Costa Rica vacation in a car looking at darkness?
